Tom Conboy was one of the most dominant men’s basketball players in the MIAC during the mid-2000s. With 1,909 points and 836 rebounds in his career, he is the all-time leader in Macalester men’s basketball history in both categories. A skilled and physical post player, Tom helped the Scots qualify for the MIAC Playoffs as a first year in 2005, then made the All-MIAC team in each of his final three years. After ranking second in the MIAC as a junior with 19.0 points per game, Tom led the conference with 23.2 points and 10.8 rebounds per contest as a senior in 2008. He was named to the All-Region first team that year. In his career, he scored in double figures in 97 of his 101 games played. Following his career at Macalester, Tom played professionally in China and Germany. An economics major, he works in the mortgage industry and lives in the Twin Cities.
