Erika Lilley played on some of Macalester’s best volleyball teams under legendary coach Stephanie Schleuder, eventually starting at setter as a junior and senior. As a junior, she set the school record for assists with 1,300 and ranked third in the MIAC to earn All-Conference accolades. The next year, Erika helped lead the Scots to a tie for second place in the 2000 MIAC standings and a third-place finish at the MIAC Tournament. She broke her own school record with 1,388 assists, which led the conference, and was named to both the All-MIAC and All-Region teams. To date, Erika is the only setter in the program’s history to be selected All-Region. She finished her career with 2,963 assists, which still stands as the school record. An economics major while at Macalester, Erika currently owns a gym in California and is a full-time strength coach. Athletics remain a part of her life, as she has completed 29 full Ironman competitions. Erika also is on the board of Page Youth Center, a nonprofit organization in Santa Barbara, California.
