Hall of Fame
Annie Borton was one of the most decorated student-athletes in Macalester women’s soccer history, which is saying something. The fifth Scot to earn All-American honors three times, she amassed 52 goals and 37 assists for 141 points to rank second all-time at Macalester in all three categories. As a sophomore, Annie tallied 20 goals and had 50 points, the second-highest single-season performances in the program’s history. Along with her All-American awards, she also made the All-MIAC and All-Region teams following each of her four seasons. Her individual success also sparked her team to great heights, as the Scots made the NCAA Tournament in all four of Annie’s years at Mac, won two MIAC championships and captured three MIAC Playoff titles. The team also strung together 43 games without a loss with Annie on the field. After Mac, she continued playing soccer, traveling to tournaments around the country and New Zealand. A sociology major, Annie is a deputy juvenile defense counsel with the Office of Public Defense Services in Oregon.
