Terry Graff holds the single-season Macalester rushing record of 1,031 yards, established in the 1969 season when he led the football team to a 5-4 record. That same season Graff ran for 311 yards in a single game against Augsburg - easily a school record and one that might never be broken.

One of the most accomplished backs in Macalester gridiron history, Graff received all-conference honors as a junior and senior, and earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention status in his first two years. Following his record-setting 1969 campaign Graff was named to the All-District 13 team and made Honorable Mention All-America honors.

Graff started on some pretty strong Macalester teams. The Scots went 5-4-1 in 1968, 5-4 the following year, and 4-4-1 in 1970 when he was a senior. During Graff's four-year campaign Macalester defeated strong teams from St. Thomas, Hamline and St. John's twice, and had a win and a tie against Gustavus and Minnesota-Duluth, two other capable football teams.

Graff was also an accomplished golfer at Macalester, playing on conference championship teams three times and earning All-MIAC status in 1970 and 1971. In 1970 he placed second in the conference.

Following graduation from Macalester Graff served as an assistant football coach at the University of Minnesota for four years and then became assistant golf coach and assistant athletic director at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. Since 1978 he has been the head golf professional at two golf clubs in Washington, and is currently on the board of directors of the PGA Central Washington Chapter.
