A Scots Club member, Richard L. Corrin earned letters in football, basketball, and track while at Macalester.  Entering Mac in 1923, Corrin immediately tried to gain a spot on the Macalester football team.  During his freshman and sophomore years, however, he lacked the size and ability necessary to compete on the team.  His endeavor was successful in the fall of 1925.  He gained a spot on the team and assisted in winning the conference championship.

Mr. Corrin was a member of the Macalester track team each season from 1924 to 1928.  He also captained the basketball team in 1927.

Mr. Corrin served as sports editor of the Mac Weekly and the Macalester College yearbook.  He was also accepted as a member of the Quill Club prior to his graduation in 1928.

Following his graduation, Mr. Corrin joined R.R. Donnelley and Sons where he retired from the purchasing department after 41 years.  He continued his life-long interest in sports as an active member of the Y.M.C.A., competing on volleyball, handball, and squash teams.  He helped organize sports activities for boys and oversaw a city-wide sports program.  He has been a member of the Masonic Fraternity for the past 40 years and was recently honored as a 33rd Degree Mason.

Mr. Corrin performed in theatrical productions at Macalester and continued his theatrical career as a puppeteer for the "Punch and Judy Show" viewed by thousands of school-aged children,

Mr. Corrin now resides in Chicago.
