Hall of Fame
One of the most productive hitters in Macalester softball history, Kathryn Miles often carried the offensive workload on her teams in the late 1990s. She made the All-MIAC team three times and still ranks in the top 10 of many offensive categories on Macalester’s all-time lists. As a junior, Kathryn set the school record with a batting average of .480. For her senior year, she posted a slugging percentage of .755, also a school record, while scoring 27 runs and driving in another 21 to account for half of the Scots’ 96 runs scored that season. Kathryn currently ranks third all-time at Macalester in career batting average (.400), and second in slugging percentage (.645) and triples (eight). She also played volleyball for two seasons. After graduation, Kathryn has stayed involved in her community as a youth softball coach, Girls Scouts leader and volunteer.
