Keenan Sue was a big part of the baseball team’s resurgence in the late 1990s and early 2000s, helping the Scots reach the MIAC Playoffs in 2000. A dangerous hitter, Sue’s lowest batting average in a season was .434, and he drove in at least 25 runs in each of his four years at Macalester. In 2001 as a senior, he batted .442 and led the Scots in hits, runs, doubles, triples, stolen bases and runs batted in, earning M Club Athlete of the Year honors. A three-time All-MIAC and All-Region performer, Sue ended his career with a .438 batting average, 192 hits, 14 home runs, 43 stolen bases and 123 RBIs. He majored in economics at Macalester and is now a pilot for Hawaiian Airlines, as well as a commercial real estate broker. Sue also has continued to coach baseball since graduating, and he currently is the head coach at Punahou High School.
