Armin Heuberger still ranks among the top offensive players in Macalester’s stellar men’s soccer history. A three-time All-MIAC midfielder, he totaled 42 goals and 24 assists for 108 points to rank third in goals and points and fourth in assists on the Scots’ all-time scoring lists. In his junior season, Armin scored 12 goals and had 30 points to lead Macalester to a 14-0-4 record, a MIAC title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The following year, he helped the Scots repeat as MIAC champions while contributing 14 goals and 32 points. That year Armin was named an All-American, as Macalester advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament with three victories. Also a two-time All-Region honoree and team captain, Armin played on three NCAA Tournament teams at Macalester. Following graduation, he played in Germany’s fourth division for a year. He later obtained a UEFA B coaching license and now coaches youth soccer in Germany. A computer science and economics major, he is an investment banker and investor in Bad Soden, Germany.
