ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Macalester College men's track & field team hosted the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational and finished third of 12 teams Friday and Saturday at Macalester Stadium. The Scots scored 98 points and won three individual events and a relay.
In the 1500 meters on Saturday, Macalester took the top three spots, with junior
Daniel Wiltse (Missoula, Mont./Hellgate) winning with a personal best of 3:59.99. Senior
Tyler Edwards (Beaverton, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) finished a close second in 4:00.42, with junior
Quinn Hoisington (Seattle, Wash./Lincoln) taking third in 4:01.03. First year
Donovan Connole (West Hartford, Conn./William H. Hall) was sixth with a time of 4:14.77.
Junior
Kelvin Moresi (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) gave the Scots another win on the track with a first-place finish in the 800 meters in 1:57.03. Senior
Jay Lebakken (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina) finished third with a time of 1:57.80.

Sebastian Stefanowicz (Portland, Ore./Valley Catholic) placed second in the 110-meter high hurdles in 15.78, with senior
Hamza Mahamud (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) taking sixth with a time of 16.57. Senior
Henry Schonebaum (Faribault, Minn./Faribault) also posted a runner-up finish in the 400 meters with a time of 50.60. First year
Drew Morral (Philippi, W. Va./Philip Barbour) took fourth in the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 11.10, then finished eighth in the 200 meters in 22.96. On Friday, senior
Jordan Galloway (Portland, Ore./Grant) took sixth in the 5000 meters with a time of 15:24.38.

Andrew Lamb (Danville, Ky./Danville Independent), senior
Thomas Malecha (Faribault, Minn.) and Schonebaum placed first with a time of 3:32.31.
In the field events, sophomore
Ataa Mensah (St. Paul, Minn./Roseville) won the high jump, clearing 1.95 meters (6-4.75), which ranks fifth all-time at Macalester. First year
Garner Miyagawa (Encinitas, Calif./San Dieguito Academy) placed fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.11 meters (39-8.75). Sophomore
Artur Porto (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown) took seventh in the shot put with a toss of 14.40 meters (47-3).
