MIAC Honorable Mention in the Distance Medley Relay... Ran the 1k at the St Olaf Invitiational, finishing 6th in 2:36.42 on Jan. 31... Won the 800 at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic with a 1:58.63... Had a really good meet at the Carleton Meet of Hearts, finishing fifth in the 1k in 2:35.21 and finishing third in the Mile in 4:26.92... Had two solid relay appearences by finishing eighth at the MIAC Indoor Conference Champioships with a 3:29.53 in the 4x400 along with the 4th place honorable mention in the Medley Relay.
Outdoor
MIAC Honorable Mention in the 4x800-Meter Relay... Finished sixth-place in the 1500 at the Janis Rider/Doug Bolstorff Invitational by running a 4:14.77... Ran a very strong leg in the 4x800 race at the MIAC Outdooor Championship, finishing 5th with a total time of 7:57.36... In the last meet of the year, ended strong with a 1:58.96 in the 800 to finish fifth at the St. Olaf Ole Open.

I chose Macalester because it was one of the very few schools I found that matched my specific criteria of having a solid running program (that I was capable of joining), an exciting arts program, and being located in a city.
