St. Paul, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team continued its outdoor season by competing at the Holst Invitational today hosted by Concordia-St. Paul.
Sophomore
Caleb Williams (Wild Rose, Wis./Wild Rose) led the Scots with a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.81 meters (22' 4.25") and ranks ninth in Macalester history. This mark is just shy of Williams' best of 6.82 meters. In the triple jump first year
Riley Hodin (Buffalo, N.Y./Amherst Central) placed fifth with a personal record of 13.20 meters (43' 3.75"), ranking 10
th in school history. Sophomore
Justin Veimau (Hillsboro, Ore./Catlin Gabel) also registered a fifth-place finish, registering a personal best of 41.74 meters (136' 1") in the javelin throw. Junior
Mason Bosley (Amery, Wis./Amery) finished in sixth behind Veimau.
On the track, first year
Arlo Heitler (Hastings, N.Y./Hastings) bested his indoor 200-meter time today, finishing the race in a time of 21.96. This mark ranks second in Macalester history. Senior
Henry Basu (Los Angeles, Calif./LA Center for Enriched Studies) and sophomore
Jon Kazor (Potomac, MD./Georgetown Prep (Pomfret School (Conn.)) ran personal bests in the 100-meter dash.
Macalester's next meet will be Saturday April 30, when the Scots will host the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational. Field events start at 9:00 a.m. while track events start at 11:00 a.m.
