| By:
St. Paul, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team is ready to hit the ground running at the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Carleton in Northfield. The Scots hit the track on Friday and compete through Saturday.

Several Scots will be vying for high placement including first year Arlo Heitler (Hastings, N.Y./Hastings). Heitler posted two event times ranked in the top 10 of the MIAC this season. Individually, he is seeded fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.82 and sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.77. First year Jeff Wang (Harleysville, PA/North Penn) and senior Ryan Kinnucan (Portland, Ore./Grant) are also seeded in the top 15 for the 400-meter dash. Macalester is also seeded fifth in the 4x400 meter relay.

In the field, Macalester has two Scots ranked in the top 10 for triple jump. Senior J.J. Arimi (Ashland, Ohio/Ashland) and first year Riley Hodin (Buffalo, N.Y./Amherst Central) rank eighth and ninth respectively. Arimi leapt for 13.00 meters (42' 8") and Hodin is tied with two other competitors in the Championships with a mark of 12.95 meters (42' 6"). Arimi is also seeded 10th in long jump.

Due to space limitations inside the Recreation Center and the large number of teams participating (13 schools total), spectators will not be allowed at the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
