Men's Swimming and Diving: Scots Swim Well In St. Norbert Dual

ST. PAUL, Minn.- The Macalester men's swimming and diving team hosted St. Norbert today in a dual match at home. The Scots beat the visiting Green Knights 124-101.

Tanner Hubbard finished first 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:19.03. First year Kiran Arquin (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Central) followed in third place. Hubbard also placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.35.

Senior Paul Reischmann (St. Petersburg, Fla./Shorecrest Prep) placed first in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:52.31. Reischmann also swam to first in the 500-yard freestyle. Followed by senior Sean Cheng (Los Altos Hills, Calif./Los Altos) who finished in third with a time of 5:40.02.

In the 50-yard freestyle, first year Nicholas Jacobson (Grinnell, Iowa/Grinnell) placed second with a time of 23.35. Jacobson continued to swim well in the 100-yard freestyle with another second place finish closely followed by senior Sam Gleason (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) in third place.

Senior Taylor Durbin (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase) took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.55. Sam Dyer (Haverford, Pa./Haverford) followed Durbin in third place.

Sophomore Kieran Cuddy (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) continued to perform well in diving, leading the Scots to first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.

The Scots stay at home Saturday, Nov. 10, at 1:00 p.m. as they host the Roger Ahlman Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
