Competed on the Scots’ eighth-place 200 medley, sixth-place 200 freestyle, and seventh-place 400 medley relay teams at 2016 MIAC Championships... Three-time Dean’s List recipient… Team representative to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee 2015-2017.
Before Mac
Named Rookie of the Year for Thomas Jefferson High… Minnesota State Meet Participant… Swam in the 200 Freestyle Relay which placed 10th at state finals, finishing in 1:28.12… AP Scholar with Distinction… Earned Honors in Social Studies… Received Academic Letter, Academic Excellence Award and Curricular Excellence Award… Valedictorian of Thomas Jefferson High School.
Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to attend Macalester because I have very diverse academic interests and Macalester offered a wide variety of courses that fit my interests nicely. I also was attracted by Macalester's small class sizes and the individual attention every student receives from their professors. In addition to my academic interests, I wanted to swim competitively but still be able to focus on school, and Macalester made this possible.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
My time as a student athlete at Macalester has made me a more disciplined and hardworking person.
