2016-17
Competed on sixth-place 200 freestyle relay team and seventh-place 400 freestyle relay, 800 freestyle relay and 400 individual medley relay teams at the 2017 MIAC Championships.
2015-16
Competed on seventh-place 800 and 400 freestyle relay teams at 2016 MIAC Championships.
Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Macalester because I was looking for a small liberal arts college away from California. After being accepted, I decided to visit the campus and spent a day with the swim team, knowing I would probably swim if I attended Macalester. I really felt comfortable here, everybody was open and nice. Macalester's high academic performance and focus on internationalism, multiculturalism and service to society made it feel like it was built for people like me. It did not take much time for me to decide this would be the perfect place for me.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
I've learned a lot about what it means to be a team in a very individualized sport. The camaraderie and support that my team has helped me grow as a person and teammate.
