Finished first in the mile at the 2017 MIAC Championships breaking the Macalester school record with a time of 16:05.02... Placed fifth in the 500 free in the 2017 MIAC Championship with a time of 4:43:55... Competed on the seventh place 800 freestyle relay team.

2015-16
Competed on the seventh-place 800 freestyle relay team at 2016 MIAC Championships.

Before Mac
Swam for regional runner-up team with Shorecrest Preparatory… Named to All-Conference team in 2014… Four-year recipient of Headmaster’s List honors… National Merit Scholar… Presidential Scholar Finalist…  AP Scholar with Distinction in 2014-15… National AP Scholar in 2015.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester represents a rare combination of top-tier academics, a tight-knit community with small classes, generous financial aid, rich athletic and extracurricular opportunities, and a vibrant urban location with ample off-campus opportunities. I chose Macalester not only because of any of these accolades, but because Mac presents all of these opportunities in an environment of friendly, honest respect. Both students and faculty really care about their peers and the community, which makes it much easier to excel in and enjoy life. I couldn't pass up the chance to swim and learn in this kind of environment.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being on this team has given me an incredible group of friends and helped me learn to balance competing responsibilities in a way I don't know if I could have otherwise.
