MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Senior Aiden Yang (Eugene, Ore./South Eugene) won the javelin throw, as three members of the Macalester College men's track & field team competed at the University of Minnesota's Gary Wilson Invitational Wednesday evening.

Yang registered a season-best throw of 56.20 meters (184-4) to win by almost nine meters. The mark ranks 46th in Division III and third in the MIAC so far this season.

On the track, first year John Ihrke (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) placed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.10, finishing behind two Division I runners and a Division II runner. The performance ranks first in the MIAC and 54th in Division III, while also ranking third on Macalester's all-time list. Senior Kalid Ali (St. Paul, Minn./Como Park) also ran the 800 and placed 27th.

Macalester hosts the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on Thursday, April 24 and Saturday, April 26 at Macalester Stadium.
