ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's cross country team is currently ranked eighth in the North Region in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association North Region rankings, which were released today. The Scots, who were seventh in the previous regional rankings, finished fourth at the MIAC Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1.
For the first time since 2014, Macalester had two All-MIAC performers (top 15) at last Saturday's conference meet. Junior
Ingrid Norquist (Minneapolis, Minn./Anoka) placed sixth individually, covering the 6000-meter course in 22:00.2. The performance is the best finish by a Scot at the MIAC Championships since
Kimber Meyer '17 took second in 2016. Joining Norquist on the All-MIAC team is sophomore
Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt), who placed 10th in 22:21.2. She repeats on the All-MIAC team after taking ninth in 2024 to earn MIAC Rookie of the Year honors.
Junior
Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy) was the next Scot across the finish line in 32nd place with a time of 23:29.6. She was followed closely by junior
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) in 34th with a time of 23:31.1. Macalester's final scorer was first year
Aubrey Jensen (Floresville, Texas), who took 50th in 24:00.0.
