ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's cross country team finished fourth in the team standings at the MIAC Championships, held Saturday afternoon at Highland 9 Golf Course. The Scots, who were sixth in the MIAC last year, scored 120 points, four behind Gustavus in third and nine ahead of Concordia in fifth. Carleton won the team title with a score of 30.
Junior
Ingrid Norquist (Minneapolis, Minn./Anoka) placed sixth individually, covering the 6000-meter course in 22:00.2. The performance is the best finish by a Scot at the MIAC Championships since
Kimber Meyer '17 took second in 2016. Joining Norquist on the All-MIAC team is sophomore
Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt), who placed 10th in 22:21.2. This is the second All-MIAC citation for Fox, who finished ninth a year ago and was named the MIAC Rookie of the Year.

Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy) was the next Scot across the finish line in 32nd place with a time of 23:29.6. She was followed closely by junior
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) in 34th with a time of 23:31.1. Macalester's final scorer was first year
Aubrey Jensen (Floresville, Texas), who took 50th in 24:00.0. Senior
Julia Castellano (St. Louis, Mo./St. Joseph Academy) had a strong race, taking 55th. Others running well included first year
Lucy Taylor (Park City, Utah/Park City), who took 60th, and sophomore
Tilia Iverson (Roseville, Minn./Roseville), who was 70th.
Macalester competes at the Cannon River Closer on Thursday, Nov. 6 at St. Olaf.
