Northfield, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team traveled to Northfield to compete at the Tostrud Classic hosted by St. Olaf this morning.
Senior
Ryan Kinnucan (Portland, Ore./Grant) took the win in the 400-meter dash in a time of 52.48. First years
Ben Crotteau (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Southeast) and
Nick Ihrke (Northbrook, Il./Glenbrook North) took second and third in the mile run with times of 4:32.07 and 4:34.23 respectively. Senior
Spencer McNall (Eugene, Ore./Eugene) placed third in the 600-meter run.
In the field Senior
J.J. Arimi (Ashland, Ohio, Ashland) registered a leap of 13.00 meters (42' 8.00") in triple jump to earn a first-place victory. First year
Riley Hodin (Buffalo, N.Y./Amherst Central) came in just behind Arimi with a jump of 12.95 meters (42' 6.00"). First year
Max Menache (Beverly Hills, Calif./Beverly Hills) also came in second place in the weight throw event. He threw for 13.33 meters (43' 8.75").
The Scots next meet will be Feb. 24-26. They will travel to Northfield, where Carleton will host the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
