ON TAPMacalester will play a pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matches in the next three days as the Scots go to Bethel and Carleton.
Macalester will take on Bethel at the Royals' Ona Orth Complex this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. before facing Carleton, ranked 12th in the Central Region, Saturday, in an 11 a.m. match in Northfield, Minn.
LAST WEEKThe Scots split a pair of conference matches over the weekend, dropping an 8-1 decision, Saturday, at 16th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus before taking a 7-2 victory from Concordia, Sunday.
Aidan Tirpack was Macalester's lone winner, Saturday. After a slow start, he rebounded for a 0-6, 7-5, 12-10 win at three singles.
Sunday, the Scots rolled as they won all three doubles matches and four of six singles matches. Tirpack,

Perry Campbell all took part in a pair of wins.
DOYLE BOUNCES BACKSaturday's loss at number two singles ended a six-match winning streak for
Josh Doyle but he rebounded with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, Sunday.
In doubles play, he had won six consecutive matches, five with
Wilson Merrell, at two doubles before dropping back-to-back matches versus St. John's (3/29) and Gustavus Adolphus. However, he and Merrell came back with an 8-2 win Sunday.
HE'S THE BOSSJason Muhl is in his 11th year as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Macalester College.
In 2008, Muhl was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis coach of the year after guiding the Scots to their best season in school history, and, in 2010, was picked as MIAC men's tennis coach of the year.
A former standout at St. Cloud State University, where he was team captain, Muhl previously coached at Burnsville High School, the Blake School and Eastview High School.
Muhl holds undergraduate degrees in recreation administration from St. Cloud State University, from where he graduated in 1997, elementary education from Bemidji State University, and a master's degree in educational leadership from Concordia University. He currently teaches elementary school in the New Prague School District.
Up NextMacalester's 2014-15 slate comes to a close next week with its final two conference matches of the season. The Scots will be at Hamline, Monday, for a 4:30 p.m. match before hosting St. Thomas, next Friday, in a 4:30 p.m. match at the Hayden Courts.
