Tostrud Classic complete results
Macalester's
Konnor Fleming (So., Charlotte, Vt. / Champlain Valley Union),
Sebastian Roemer (So., Kimberton, Pa. / Kimberton Waldorf) and
Logan Hovie (Fy., Neenah, Wis.) won events at the 10-team St. Olaf Tostrud Classic in Northfield. The meet included teams from Mac, St. Olaf, Hamline, St. Thomas, Bethel, Minnesota-Duluth, Concordia-St. Paul, Carleton, Wisconsin-River Falls and Northwestern-Roseville.
The 200-meter dash drew 60 entrants and it was Fleming with the fastest time of them all (23.00), winning by 1/100 second in the fastest of 14 heats. He was also 10th in the 60 dash (7.35). Roemer crossed the line first in the 600-meter dash (1:23.28), while teammate
Joey Frankl (Jr., Wilmette, Ill. / New Trier) placed fourth 1:25.86). Hovie's victory came in the high jump (1.98 meters).
Eric Biggers (Jr., Verona, Wis.) placed third in the 5000-meter run (16:35.95)
Dylan Saul (So., Minneapolis, Minn. / Mounds Park Academy) placed sixth of 25 in the 1-mile run (4:38.53) and
Auburn Jimenez (Jr., East Los Angeles, Calif. / St. John Bosco).
The Scots host the Pre-MIAC Meet next Friday (Feb. 22) at the Leonard Center Field House. Field events start at 5:15 p.m. and running events get going at 6:15. Participating teams, in addition to Mac, will be Augsburg, Bethel, Hamline and Gustavus Adolphus.
