Concordia (Wis.) took a pair from Macalester as the Scots wrapped up their 10-game Spring Break trip to Phoenix with 8-1 and 6-3 losses to the Falcons. Macalester went 3-7 in Arizona and returns to Minnesota with an 8-8 overall record heading into the March 27 conference opener.
After dropping the first game, the Scots jumped out in the nightcap with three runs in the top of the first inning, but could manage no more runs.
Macalester plays St. John's on Friday (March 27) at the Metrodome at 9:30 p.m. to commence its MIAC campaign.
During the 10-game Spring Break trip, Macalester hit .299 and registered a solid .959 fielding percentage. Shortstop
Nate Wilson-Traisman (Jr., Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) enjoyed a great trip, batting .543 (19-for-35) with 17 RBI and eight extra base hits (including three home runs). His slugging percentage was an outstanding .971. Catcher
