Nate took his game to another level during his junior year . . . He led the Scots in virtually every offensive category: runs (30), batting average (.425), hits (54), doubles (15), and home runs (3) on his way to his first all-conference and all-region selections . . . Nate was voted the team’s MVP Offensive player for the ’09 season as well as team captain for the second consecutive year . . . Collected his first career home run vs. Marian College on 3-19-09 . . . Had big days in conference play, with a 3-5 performance vs. St. Olaf College on 4-16-09 and went 4-for-7 vs. Gustavus Adolphus College . . . Had four doubles in one game vs. North Central College on 4-8-09 . . . During his sophomore year he led the team in batting average (.364) and triples (4), while ranking second in hits (39) and third in RBI (21), and at bats (107) . . . His season highlighted with big day vs. Carleton College on 3-22-08 when he went 6-for-7 in the doubleheader . . . As a freshman he started 30 games at shortstop and hit a solid .304 . . . He ranked second on the team in RBI (18) and third in hits (31) . . . Had a big day vs. Bethel College on 4-9-07, with 4-for-6 performance at the plate during the doubleheader . . . Collected his first career hit vs. Dickinson University on 3-7-07 . . . Nate comes to Macalester from South Eugene High School in Eugene, Ore. . . . Nate’s senior season was capped off with all-league and all-state honors.
