Career stats

Will had career highs in several offensive categories including batting average (.307), hits (27), and stolen bases (7). He established himself as a solid centerfielder and played in 33 games. Hit his first collegiate home run vs. Northwestern on 5-4-10. Had a big double header vs. Hamline on 4-7-10 going 4 for 6 on the day..... started in 20 games in the outfield during his sophomore season, primarily in centerfield. Hit .235 while collecting five stolen bases. Made a large impact on the mound, collecting many firsts: start vs. Augsburg on 4-7-09, win vs conference rival St. Olaf on 4-18-09, save vs.St. Mary’s College on 4-4-09…..started in 21 games during his freshman year and hit a solid .261. He collected his first collegiate hit vs. UM-Morris on 3-21-08. Chen experienced his biggest days at the plate during conference play, collecting multi hit/rbi games vs. St. Mary’s on 4-5-08 and Gustavus 4-20-08….Will comes to Macalester from Edina HS in Edina, MN. He was a team captain and led his legion team to a state tournament appearance during summer ’08.
