                                          ---------------------------------------------------

Why I chose Macalester:
I wanted to surround myself with good and grounded people for my 4 years in college. In addition, the combination of academics, athletics, and extra curriculars creates the environment I wanted to be in.

What Macalester has meant to me:
Macalester is a place I can be myself on and off the field. That means a lot to me.

How Macalester Baseball has shaped me as an individual:
Whether I'm on the field or off the field, I feel as if I am working towards a goal with my teammates. The feelings of camaraderie on the field definitely carry over to everyday life.

How being a student-athlete has prepared me for life after graduation:
It may be too early to say so, but I would guess that learning to balance my time commitments will be a valuable tool in my life post-Mac. I am not sure how hitting a ball over a 40-foot fence is going to help me with my life post-Mac, but I'm confident it will.
