Complete Carleton Relays results | Complete LSU Alumni Gold Meet results

Part of Macalester's team competed at the Carleton Relays in Northfield, and Franz Meyer (Jr., Kirkwood, Mo.) led the way by placing fifth in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles. A day earlier, Mac's top distance runners competed at the St. Thomas Twilight Meet, while also today, some of the team's top athletes traveled to Baton Rouge, La., for the LSU Alumni Gold  Meet.

Meyer finished fifth among 22 entrants in the 400 hurdles (57.73). Kevin Williams (Sr., Jamaica) placed ninth out of 28 sprinters in the 200-meter dash (23.30). 

At LSU, facing top-level Division I competition and alumni from one of the nation's top programs, four Scots competed. Matt Wegmann (Sr., North Oaks, Minn. / Mounds View) placed sixth in the 3000-meter steeplechase (9:59.51), Josh Springer (Sr., Portland, Ore. / Cleveland) placed 17th of 28 in the 800 meter-run (1:56.64), Andrew Yokom (Jr., Arden Hills, Minn. / Mounds View) was 14th of 27 in the 400 IM hurdles (54.94) and Evan Mitchell (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn. / South) took 13th out of 24 in the javelin (170-3 / 51.90).

The Scots host the Macalester Twilight Meet on Wednesday (April 23) at 5:30 p.m. Throwing events will be held at Hamline, while everything else will be at Macalester Stadium.
