Complete St. Cloud State Open results
The Scots had a big day and picked up seven top-three finishes at the St. Cloud State University Open. The meet was not team-scored and featured athletes from Mac, St. Cloud State, St. Thomas, St. John's, North Dakota and Northwestern.
Martin Mudry (Jr., University Heights, Ohio) provided the team with its best individual finish when he won the 3000-meter run (8:58.25). Mudry won by an easy 12 seconds over Josh LaBlanc from the University of North Dakota.
Josh Springer (Sr., Portland, Ore. / Cleveland) placed second in the 1000-meter run (2:41.33). In the 800 meters,
Tyson Morgan (Jr., Lewiston, Me.) (2:03.50),
Will Kennedy (Sr., San Anselmo, Calif. / The Branson School) (2:05.50) and
Franz Meyer (Jr., Kirkwood, Mo.) (2:07.52) placed second, third and fourth, respectively.
Andrew Yokom (Jr., Arden Hills, Minn. / Mounds View) had an excellent day in the sprints in 26-runner fields, placing third in both the 60-meter dash finals (7.16) and 200 dash (23.54). He was second among collegiate sprinters in the 200.
Wade Eckstrom (So., La Crescent, Minn.) finished third in the 3K (9:12.25).
The Scots compete Friday (Feb. 22) at the University of Minnesota Snowshoe Open at 5 p.m.
