ST. PAUL, Minn. - Macalester College junior
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) finished in sixth place in the MIAC heptathlon, held Thursday and Friday at Carleton College. A portion of the women's track & field team competed at Hamline's Meet of the Unsaintly on Friday.
Myatt scored 4,304 points to earn three team points in the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She had the best mark in the shot put (11.59 meters/38-0.25) and turned in a personal best time of 2:08.87 in the 800 meters. The remainder of the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place May 8-9 at St. Olaf.
In the field events at Hamline, junior
Jessica Lin (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) took fifth in the hammer with a toss of 47.74 meters (156-7). Junior
Seneca Wilson (Durango, Colo./Durango) placed sixth in the pole vault, clearing 2.99 meters (9-9.75).
On the track, junior
Cate Stacy (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) finished fourth in the 5000 meters with a time of 19:39.42.
Macalester will participate in the Ole Open at St. Olaf on Saturday, May 2.
