SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. – The Macalester College men's golf team closed out the 2025-26 season at the Saint John's Spring Invite Saturday and Sunday at Wapicada Golf Club. The Scots posted a two-round score of 622 to finish 15th.

Senior Harry Cheng (Taipei, Taiwan/Heping Municipal) led Macalester in his final competition as a Scot, tying for 42nd with a score of 152. First year Ryan Chang (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) tied for 48th, one shot behind Cheng, and sophomore Liam Sarmiento (Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman) tied for 77th with a score of 160. Seniors Brady Thomas (Apple Valley, Minn./Shattuck-Saint Mary's School) and Ben d'Entremont (Cranston, R.I./Moses Brown School) also wrapped up their careers, tying for 79th and 81st, respectively.

Macalester, coached by Johnny Greene, took fifth at the MIAC Championship in September for the program's highest finish since the 1970s.
