HAM LAKE, Minn. – The Macalester College men's golf team started the new season at the Augsburg Fall Invite, held at Majestic Oaks Golf Course Saturday and Sunday. The Scots tied for seventh out of 14 teams with a two-round score of 632.
Sophomore
Owen Walther (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs School) led the way for Macalester, tying for eighth with a two-round score of 150 (+6). First year
Jai Ju (Taipei, Taiwan/Nangang Vocational) was next for the Scots, tying for 25th with a score of 155. Junior
Liam Sarmiento (Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman) tied for 45th with a score of 162, followed by sophomore
Leo Simon (Scarsdale, N.Y./Brunswick) in 78th to close out the top four. First year
Riahn Singh (Denver, Colo./Kent Denver) competed as an individual and tied for 66th.
Macalester will participate in the Wisconsin Lutheran Fall Invite on Sept. 13 at Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, Wis.
