SARTELL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's golf team took 10th out of 14 teams at the Saint John's Fall Invitational, held at St. Cloud Country Club and Blackberry Ridge Saturday and Sunday. The Scots shot a 612 and closed with a second-round score of 296, which is the second lowest score for 18 holes in the program's history.
Sophomore
Owen Walther (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs School) was the low scorer for Macalester, tying for 22nd with a score of 150 (+6). Junior
Liam Sarmiento (Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman) and first year
Jai Ju (Taipei, Taiwan/Nangang Vocational) tied for 28th at 152 (+8), followed by first year
Riahn Singh (Denver, Colo./Kent Denver), who tied for 60th at 159 (+19).
The Scots will compete in the MIAC Championships on Oct. 10-12 at Edinburgh USA in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
