NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Macalester College women's track & field team competed at the Carleton Relays on Sunday at Laird Stadium.
On the track, sophomore
Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) finished third in a strong field in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:44.63. Also in the 1500, sophomore
Kyra Morris (Pacific Palisades, Calif./Palisades Charter) was sixth in 4:55.99, and first year
Aubrey Jensen (Floresville, Texas) took seventh in 4:56.16. Sophomore
Claire Beckley (Carlisle, Mass./Concord Carlisle) placed third in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.44, and sophomore
Megan Worry (Menlo Park, Calif./Notre Dame) took third in the 400-meter hurdles.
In the field events, junior
Jessica Lin (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) finished second in the hammer with a throw of 42.53 meters (139-6). Senior
Brooke Boroughs (Monroe, Wash./Monroe) also turned in a runner-up finish in the javelin with a toss of 30.30 meters (99-5). Junior
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep), who broke the school record in the heptathlon Thursday and Friday at UW-La Crosse, placed third in the shot put with a mark of 12.32 meters (40-5). Beckley took fifth in the long jump with a leap of 4.81 meters (15-9.5). In the pole vault, which was contested on Thursday, junior
Seneca Wilson (Durango, Colo./Durango) cleared 2.98 meters (9-9.5) to take fourth and senior
Roen Boyd (Minneapolis, Minn./South) was sixth with a mark of 2.68 meters (8-9.5).
Macalester hosts the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 24-25 at Macalester Stadium.
