ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Macalester College women's track & field team participated in the Bethel Invitational on Saturday under rainy conditions. The meet eventually was canceled due to rain with a handful of events yet to begin.
In the field events, junior
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) finished third in the high jump, clearing 1.53 meters (5-0.25). Junior
Jessica Lin (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) placed fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.29 meters (142-0). In the javelin throw, senior
Brooke Boroughs (Monroe, Wash./Monroe) took seventh with a toss of 28.50 meters (93-6), while first year
Alina Siodlarz (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) finished ninth with a mark of 27.98 (91-9).
On the track, first year
Aubrey Jensen (Floresville, Texas) turned in a personal best in the 800 meters, taking 10th with a time of 2:21.32. Sophomore
Claire Beckley (Carlisle, Mass./Concord Carlisle) placed 13th in the 100 meters in 12.83.
Macalester heads to the Carleton Relays in Northfield, Minn. on Saturday, April 18.
