Women’s Track & Field: Rogahn-Press, Fox Shine at Hamline Invite

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Macalester College women's track & field team kicked off the 2026 outdoor season at the Hamline Invitational on Monday. No team scores were kept.

Sophomores Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) and Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) turned in outstanding performances in the first outdoor meet of the season. Rogahn-Press, who finished third in the 400 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships earlier this month, won the 400 meters with a time of 53.98, which is currently the fastest time in Division III. She also took first in the 200 meters in 24.74, which is 10th nationally. Earlier in the day, Rogahn-Press anchored the Scots' 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore Claire Beckley (Carlisle, Mass./Concord Carlisle), senior Amanda Crewey (New York City, N.Y./LaGuardia School of Arts) and sophomore Emma Cunningham (Knoxville, Tenn./Farragut) to victory in 49.23. The time is sixth on Macalester's all-time list.

Fox captured the 1500 meters with a time of 4:39.55, which is seventh all-time at Macalester and 22nd in Division III this season. She won the race by just under seven seconds.

Others running well on the track included junior Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep), who was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.95, which ranks ninth all-time at Macalester. Sophomore Tilia Iverson (Roseville, Minn./Roseville) took fifth in the 800 meters in 2:26.66. First year Aubrey Jensen (Floresville, Texas) finished sixth in the 1500 in 4:57.02, while Beckley was sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 26.48. Beckley also placed seventh in the 100 meters in 12.49, which ranks ninth all-time at Macalester.

In the field events, senior Brooke Boroughs (Monroe, Wash./Monroe) was fourth in the javelin with a throw of 28.84 meters (94-7). Myatt placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 12.67 meters (41-7). Junior Jessica Lin (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) finished fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 44.95 meters (147-5). First year Alina Siodlarz (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) took sixth behind Boroughs in the javelin with a toss of 25.23 meters (82-9).

The Scots will send their distance runners to UW-Platteville on Friday, April 10, while the rest of the team will compete in the Bethel Invitational on Saturday, April 11.
