NORTHFIELD, Minn. — The Macalester College women's track and field team competed at the St. Olaf Invitational this weekend, where it posted multiple new facility records inside the Tostrud Center.

In the sprints, sophomore Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) and first-year Eva Abreu (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) posted fantastic finishes for the Scots. Rogahn-Press won the 200-meter dash in a facility-record 25.15 seconds. That time is 17th-best in the country so far this year and breaks her own school record by .06 seconds. Abreu finished third in the 200 in 26.41 and third in the 60-meter dash in 7.93. Her 60-meter finish is the 100th-best in the country this year and third-best in program history. Her 200-meter finish is tied for seventh-best in program history.

Junior Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) placed second in the pentathlon with a program second-best score of 3,150. Myatt's performance was highlighted by a win in the shot put with a facility-record 12.40-meter throw and a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter in a facility-record 2:36.12. Her shot put mark is the 53rd-best in the country.

The Scots' distance runners notched multiple personal bests at the meet as well. Sophomore Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) placed third in the 1,000 meters in a program eighth-best 3:02.40. Junior Cate Stacy (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and sophomore Kyra Morris (Pacific Palisades, Calif./Palisades Charter) finished eighth and ninth, respectively, in the 3,000 meters. Stacy's 11:30.23 and Morris's 11:38.70 marked personal records for both runners.

The Scots' 4x200-meter relay team of Abrea, sophomore Claire Beckley (Carlisle, Mass./Concord Carlisle), sophomore Emma Cunningham (Knoxville, Tenn./Farragut) and Rogahn-Press placed third in a program eighth-best 1:47.97 to finish off the weekend.

Macalester returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Gopher Classic in Minneapolis, Minn. It will be the Scots' third-to-last meet before the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships begin at the end of the month.
