LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Macalester College women's track & field team sent a select group of athletes to the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium. No team scores were kept.
Sophomore
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) turned in an outdoor personal best in the shot put, placing fourth with a toss of 13.10 meters (42-11.75), which ranks 41st in Division III and second all-time at Macalester. Myatt earned All-MIAC honors in the shot put with a mark of 12.78 at the MIAC Outdoor Championships last weekend. Also in the field events, sophomore
Jessica Lin (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) took 11th in the hammer with a throw of 44.48 (145-11).
On the track, first year
Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) competed in the 200 meters and finished in third place with a time of 24.89. The time is not an improvement on her season-best time of 24.55, which ranks 39th in Division III.
Rogahn-Press currently has the second-fastest time in the 400 meters (53.89) in Division III and is expected to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held May 22-24 in Geneva, Ohio.
