ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Macalester College women's track & field team turned in several solid performances at the Meet of the UnSaintly, hosted by Hamline University on Wednesday. No team scores were kept.
Leading the way was first year
Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School), who finished third behind two Division II sprinters in the 200 meters with a time of 25.07. Sophomore
Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy) was the first non-Division I runner to cross the finish line in the 3000-meter steeplechase, taking fifth overall in 12:01.91. Sophomore
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) ran a personal-best time of 4:51.25 in the 1500 meters to take 16th overall and sixth among Division III competitors. Senior
Ella Krumm (Helena, Mont./Capital) also posted a PR in the 800 meters with a time of 2:27.39.
In the field events, sophomore
Seneca Wilson (Durango, Colo./Durango) cleared a personal-best 3.17 meters (10-4.75) to tie for 12th in the pole vault. The performance ranks second on the Scots' all-time list. Sophomore
Brooke Boroughs (Monroe, Wash./Monroe) placed seventh in the javelin with a toss of 30.46 meters (99-11). First year
Juliet Reichardt (Tiburon, Calif./Marin Academy) took eighth in the high jump, clearing 1.44 meters (4-8.75).
A small contingent of Scots will compete at the St. Olaf Ole Open on Saturday, May 3. The meet will serve as the final competition before the MIAC Track & Field Championships, which will be held at Macalester Stadium on May 9-10.
