WAVERLY, Iowa - Macalester College senior
Arlo Heitler (Hastings, N.Y./Hastings) and first year
John Ihrke (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) broke the school records, as a small contingent of the men's track & field team competed at the Wartburg Final Qualifier Saturday afternoon.
Heitler, who placed third in the 400 meters last weekend at the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships to earn All-MIAC honors, won the 400 on Saturday with a school-record time of 48.53. David Palmer '20 in 2020.
A couple of MIAC champions competed in the 800 meters on Saturday. Ihrke, who won the 800 at the MIAC Championships with a school-record time of 1:54.53, broke his record with a time of 1:53.57 to finish fourth. The time ranks 29th in Division III. Senior
