NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Macalester College women's track & field team turned in several strong performances at the Tostrud Classic, held at St. Olaf College Friday night. No team scores were kept.
In the sprints, sophomore
Diarra Chatham (Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge) won the 60 meters with a season-best time of 7.89, followed by first year
Claire Beckley (Carlisle, Mass./Concord Carlisle) in second in 8.14. First year
Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) won the 200 meters with a time of 25.56, with Beckley taking second in 27.19. Sophomore
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 9.70, which ranks sixth all-time at Macalester.
In the distance races, sophomore
Ivy Coldren (Frederick, Md./Urbana) finished third in the mile with a time of 5:21.46. Sophomore
Destiny Osemwengie (Buford, Ga./Peachtree Ridge) placed third in the 3000 meters in 11:07.78.
In the field events, Myatt was fourth in the long jump, first year
Juliet Reichardt (Tiburon, Calif./Marin Academy) took fourth in the high jump and sophomore
Jessica Lin (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) placed fifth in the shot put.
Next up for Macalester is the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held at Saint John's University Feb. 27-Mar. 1 in Collegeville, Minn.
