MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Macalester College women's track & field team kicked off the 2026 indoor season at the University of Minnesota's M City Indoor Classic on Friday. Sophomore
Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) picked up where she left off last season with a strong performance in the 400 meters.
Rogahn-Press, who was an All-American in the 400 both indoors and outdoors last year, won the event by over five seconds with a time of 57.43. At this same meet a year ago, she broke the school record in the 400 in 57.34 in her first collegiate competition.
Junior
Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) turned in a solid showing in the pentathlon, taking 10th with 2827 points, 54 points of her personal best of 2881. Myatt had the best mark against the field in the shot put with a toss of 40-5 (12.32 meters).
Senior
Hadley Wilkins (St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School) finished seventh in the 600 meters with a personal-best time of 1:43.61. First year
Eva Abreu (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) qualified for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles and finished ninth in 9.86. The time is tied for eighth on Macalester's all-time performance list. Abreu also took eighth in the 300 meters with a time of 43.26.
In the field events, senior
Roen Boyd (Minneapolis, Minn./South) set an indoor PR in the pole vault, clearing 2.81 meters (9-2.50), which moves her up to fifth all-time at Macalester. Junior
Harmony-Keli Tomety (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook East) took eighth in the long jump with a leap of 5.20 meters (17-0.75). First year
Alina Siodlarz (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) placed fifth in the high jump by clearing 1.45 meters (4-9).
Macalester resumes competition in January by hosting the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on Jan. 24 in the Leonard Center Fieldhouse.
