ST. PAUL, Minn. – Three Macalester College volleyball players were included on the Division III Volleyball Academic All-District team by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced today. Senior right side Avery Rahe (Olathe, Kan./Olathe West) makes her second appearance on the Academic All-District team, while junior setter Hannah Morrow (Raleigh, N.C./Millbrook) and junior middle blocker Sydney Stratton (North Liberty, Iowa/Liberty) earn the honor for the first time in their careers.

Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically; have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50; have played in 90 percent of their team's matches or have started at least 66 percent of their team's total matches to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades.

Rahe, who is majoring in biology and German, was on the Academic All-District team as a sophomore in 2023. She also has been named to the Academic All-MIAC team twice. This fall Rahe ranked second on the team in kills (178) while starting 16 of her 24 matches played. She finished her career with 720 kills in 93 matches.

Morrow led the Scots in assists this season with 505 and ranked 10th in the MIAC with 5.43 assists per set. She is seventh on Macalester's all-time list for career assists with 1,515. A biology major at Macalester, Morrow made the Academic All-MIAC team last year.

Stratton paced the Scots with 48 total blocks and ranked 16th in the conference with 0.68 blocks per set. She also led the team in hitting percentage (.192). Stratton, who earned a spot on the Academic All-MIAC team last fall, is majoring in international studies and philosophy.
