ST. PAUL, Minn. – Eight Scots were recognized today by the conference as the MIAC announced its season-end awards. The top three in each event received All-MIAC honors, while fourth through sixth places received All-MIAC Honorable Mention.
 
Junior Arlo Heitler (Hastings, N.Y./Hastings) received All-MIAC honors in the 400m dash by finishing second. His time of 47.30 broke his own school record of 47.91 he set at last year's MIAC Championships. Heitler also earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention by placing sixth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.61, which also broke his school record of 21.68 which he set in the preliminaries.
 
Junior Aiden Yang (Eugene, Ore./South Eugene) received All-MIAC honors with a third-place finish in the javelin throw. He threw a mark of 52.93m (173' 8").
 
Sophomore Tyler Edwards (Beaverton, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) was named All-MIAC Honorable Mention in the 10,000m. Edwards ran a time of 31:47.14 to finish fifth.
 
Junior Riley Hodin (Buffalo, N.Y./Amherst Central) took fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.48m (44' 2.75").
 
Senior Drew Getty (Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) ran the 800m and received All-MIAC Honorable Mention for his fifth-place finish (1:55.33). Getty also was part of the 4x800m relay team with sophomore Jay Lebakken (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina), junior Kalid Ali (St. Paul, Minn./Como Park), and first year Daniel Wiltse (Missoula, Mont./Hellgate). The relay team took sixth with a time of 8:01.19, for All-MIAC Honorable Mention. Their time also ranks 10^th all-time at Macalester.
 
Kevin Arthur of Saint John's was named MIAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year while Trent Beseth of St. Scholastica was named MIAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year.
