Women’s Track & Field: Journey Amundson Finishes 14th at the NCAA Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Senior Journey Amundson (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) competed at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Polisseni Track & Field Complex in Rochester, N.Y. this morning in the triple jump.
 
Amundson, who was seeded 18th to start the day, registered a leap of 11.81m (38' 9"). She registered the same mark as Samantha Barrett of University of Wisconsin La Crosse and tied for 14th.
 
Amundson earned All-Region honors this season in the triple jump with a leap of 11.96m (39' 3") on April 29 at the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational. She was also a two-time MIAC Champion at the MIAC Outdoor Championships on May 12-13, winning both the triple jump and the long jump. Amundson was also All-Region in the triple jump in the indoor season, and earned All-MIAC honors in the triple jump, long jump, and distance medley relay at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 25-26.
