ST. PAUL, Minn. – Senior
Journey Amundson (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) was named the MIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week, announced the conference today.
Amundson impressed at the Tostrud Classic this weekend. She won the triple jump with a personal best mark of 11.78m (38' 7.75"). Her mark currently ranks 12
th in Division III. The jump also broke the Macalester school record. The previous mark of 11.68m (38' 4") was set in 2007 by Susan Brown. Amundson also came in second in the 200m dash, registering a time of 27.06.
The Scots will compete this weekend, Feb 24-26, at the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Macalester hosts the championships at the Leonard Center.
