MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- The Macalester College women's swimming and diving team found success on day three of the MIAC Championships by sending four swimmers to the finals for their respective races. In all, nine swimmers raced to their fastest times of the season.
First year Frances Redpath (Helena, Mont./Helena) sprinted to a 14
th place finish in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.80 during the prelim's session. Redpath took 13
th in the final 100 yard butterfly with a strong time of 1:00.81. Sophomore
Betsy Foy (Omaha, Neb./Harry A. Burke) rounded out the top 16 to advanced to the finals in the 400 yard IM. Senior
Ana Thompson (Minnetonka, Minn./Orono) touched the wall with a time of 1:01.30 in the 100 yard backstroke to qualify for finals. First year
Grace Madigan (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) swam a 1:57.22 to earn an 11
th place finish and qualify for finals in the 200 yard freestyle. Madigan raced to an 11
th place finish in the finals with a time of 157.50.

Zoe Machmer Frederick (Omaha Neb./Lincoln East) just missed the cut in the 100 yard backstroke but managed to swim her fastest time as a Scot

Lanae Caldwell (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Polytechnic) set a career best time in the 100 yard butterfly. Sophomore
Kinsey Stewart (St. Paul, Minn./Roseville Area), senior
Marie Crane (Laouina, Tunisia/American Cooperative School of Tunis), and first year
Alex Westrick (Ashland, Ore.) swam a season best in the 200 yard freestyle.
Tomorrow will conclude the MIAC Championships for the women.
