INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Macalester College first year Ainsley Kashatus (Washington, D.C./Holton Arms School) qualified for the consolation finals in 3-meter diving, then finished 13th to receive All-American honorable mention on the last day of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships Saturday at the IU Natatorium.

Kashatus was the last qualifier for the consolation finals with a score of 414.85 in the preliminaries that put her in 16th place. In the consolation finals for divers who qualified ninth through 16th, she posted a score of 427.75 to finish in 13th place. Kashatus, who took 20th in the prelims of the 1-meter diving event on Thursday, is Macalester's first women's diver to earn All-American honors since Renee Jordan '14 won the Division III national championship on the 1-meter board in 2014.

Earlier this season, Kashatus finished fifth on the 3-meter board at the NCAA Diving Regionals on Feb. 28 in Kalamazoo, Mich. She also placed third at the MIAC Championships on the 3-meter board to earn All-MIAC accolades.
