As a Scot
Part of the Health Promotions Team… Participates in K-Pop… Studied abroad in Scotland… Was a research intern at both HealthPartner’s Neuroscience Center and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare.
2018-19
Named to the MIAC All-Academic team… Recorded nine top-10 finishes throughout five meets during her junior season… Placed third in both the 100 Free (58.88) and 100 Backstroke (1:03.69) in a meet against Hamline and St. Olaf on Jan. 19… Tallied two second-place finishes against St. Kate’s on Jan. 25, completing the 100 Free in 59.84 and the 200 Individual Medley in 2:22.87… Won the 200 Backstroke against Grinnell on Jan. 26 with a season-best time of 2:17.58… Placed 11th at the MIAC Championships in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:00.26.
2017-18
Named to the MIAC All-Academic team… Set two school records at the MIAC Championships, completing the 100 Backstroke in 1:00.10 and the 200 Backstroke in 2:10.90, taking seventh and ninth in those events, respectively… Collected 21 top-10 finishes on the season… Won the 100 Backstroke on three different occasions, at the Roger Ahlman Invitational on Nov. 11, against St. Kate’s on Jan. 26, and against Grinnell on Jan. 27… Had an impressive meet at the St. Thomas Invite, taking second in the 100 Backstroke (1:02.06) and taking third in the 200 Backstroke (2:14.83) as well as the 200 Individual Medley (2:20.43)… Placed second in the 200 Individual Medley against St. Kate’s on Jan. 26, finishing in 2:19.11.
2016-17
Competed on the shool record breaking 400 medley relay team, placing sixth, at the 2017 MIAC Championship and on the seventh place 800 freestyle relay team... Swam a personal best at the 2017 MIAC Championship in the 100 backstroke.
Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Many different reasons, but mainly for how diverse it is in all aspects.
What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
It was an amazing first year full of growth in personal and academic aspects. I met some amazing friends and professors throughout the school year who helped me have a successful first year. It's absolutely amazing to go to a college where people are so passionate about what they believe in and strive to make a difference in this world.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Macalester has an extensive network of student-athlete alumni that are accessible to reach out to and connect with. Being a student-athlete has taught me excellent time management skills and being able to balance many different things at once.
