EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Macalester College men's tennis team lost to UW-Eau Claire, 6-3 in a non-conference dual Sunday afternoon at the Eau Claire YMCA. The Scots drop to 3-2 on the season, while the Blugolds improve to 9-1.
Macalester picked up a point in doubles, as senior

Matthew Yang (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) won their match at No. 3 doubles, 8-4. In singles, senior
Josh Doyle (Cologne, Germany/Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium) and first year
Sam Hochberger (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) were victorious at first and third singles, respectively. The dual was decided at second and fifth singles, with UW-Eau Claire winning both matches in three sets.
Macalester travels to Hilton Head, S.C., on Mar. 11 for four duals over Spring Break, beginning with a dual against Ohio Wesleyan on Mar. 12.
