NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team fell to Carleton College, 8-1 in a MIAC dual Saturday afternoon at Pat Lamb Courts. The Scots drop to 7-9 overall and 3-5 in the league, while the Knights improve to 13-3, 7-1 MIAC.
Macalester earned its only point of the dual at No. 1 doubles, where junior
Josh Doyle (Cologne, Germany/Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium) and sophomore
Matthew Yang (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) beat Ezra Frankel and Aaron Goodman, 8-4.
The Scots conclude the regular season on Sunday, Apr. 30 against Hamline University. The matches begin at 3:00 p.m. at the University of Minnesota's Baseline Tennis Center.
